Project Truffle
We are a collective group of lovely peeps that want to make a difference. We're currently working on a development project to launch a site that we hope will make finances more understandable for the masses and ultimately save people money. We're sick of big corporate financial comparison sites that only show half the picture, we're web folks that want to create a community where people's best interests really are what matters.
This blog is where we'll be sharing our learnings along the way of the launch process and as we introduce new features post-launch. This really is the space that you should watch!
What the Users Want!
How much would you trust a site?

Personal Finance is a funny thing. It is relevant to nearly everyone, yet we rarely discuss it amongst friends and quite often try to ignore it altogether. Is that why the finance market is such a scary place? Most people feel quite alone trying to pick which bank to go with or which building society to save with. Sometimes the rates offered by these providers are so similar you’re not sure which one to choose

Succeed where your competitors fail!
Tuesday, December 1st, 2009
Here at Project Truffle, our passion and drive comes from the failure of our “competitors”. We’re able to see that most of the existing sites out there are biased and very confusing to the user.

The Beginning
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009
So, we’re writing a financial – save you some money – app, and we decided that we would share our experiences with anyone who is interested in seeing how a web project can develop from initial ideas right through to the final launch. Alternatively, if you are just interested in saving money then thats just as good a reason to watch this space.
What better way to kick things off (we thought!) than to make a short video explaining what we hope to achieve…how hard can it be, right?

“We had a very similiar situation whilst designing the EmptyLemon idea. The most horrifying part of the whole process is waiting to find out if your research is accurate and people actually share your visions. Look forward to finding out what you are up to...” said Will
