Project Truffle
We are a collective group of lovely peeps that want to make a difference. We're currently working on a development project to launch a site that we hope will make finances more understandable for the masses and ultimately save people money. We're sick of big corporate financial comparison sites that only show half the picture, we're web folks that want to create a community where people's best interests really are what matters.
This blog is where we'll be sharing our learnings along the way of the launch process and as we introduce new features post-launch. This really is the space that you should watch!
Taking A Step Back…

In the last few weeks we have come to realise that perhaps it’s time to take a step back and review what we are trying to achieve.
It’s all too easy to get carried away when we’re sitting coming up with ideas, but, at some point in the near future, we’ll need to start putting these ideas into practise; the more ideas we have, the more complicated and long-winded the development process is going to become – and let’s face it, we want to get this project up and running as soon as we can. Overcomplicating everything before we get started is only going to make our lives more difficult as well as making you all wait even longer to find out what on Earth we have been up to.
This afternoon we took a few hours away from the office, so that we could get our brains back into gear, and re-evaluated exactly what it is we are trying to achieve. It proved to be pretty useful as we now have our feet firmly back on planet Earth and have managed to refine some of our ideas in a bid to make everything just that little bit more simple.
Once again, and I’m sure some of you are getting bored of hearing this, we can’t give too much away. Though we feel like we have totally hit the nail on the proverbial head this time, which is extremely good timing considering we have a meeting with Mr Stocks next week to discuss how to begin work on the next and most important stage of the project; designing the site!
We are extremely lucky to be working with two talented people like Mel and Elliot and hopefully they won’t be too scared to hear we’ve almost taken it back to the drawing board when they read my post. (Don’t worry guys, it’s not as bad as it sounds!)
Needless to say, we are extremely excited and feel that we’ve finally found the direction we were looking for.

“We had a very similiar situation whilst designing the EmptyLemon idea. The most horrifying part of the whole process is waiting to find out if your research is accurate and people actually share your visions. Look forward to finding out what you are up to...” said Will
